Catherine comes to a counselling career having trained and worked initially as a GP in Australia, followed by 20 years living, raising a family and working in Pakistan and the Middle East. For the past 15 years having further qualified as a counsellor, she has transitioned from working in women’s health to now counselling people with a wide range of concerns including mental health issues, relationships, cross cultural transitions, faith, trauma, grief and other life matters.

Catherine uses a range of different approaches and enjoys helping people explore attachment styles and their influence on how they do life. She is currently developing skills in IFS (Internal Family Systems). Her undergirding philosophy is that we all behave the way we do for understandable reasons, and starting from this compassionate position can discover other ways of living with ourselves and others that we would prefer.

She aims for a gentle and non-judgmental manner.
