Andrea works with individuals and couples.

As a Registered Counsellor Andrea has experience in supporting her clients with mental health issues including anxiety, depression, addictions including sex / pornography / love, compulsive behaviours, partner betrayal trauma, affairs, relationship conflict, separation, PTSD, loss and grief, adjustment disorder, marriage preparation and enrichment. She also has an interest in adult ADHD.

Andrea has specialist training in addiction treatment which includes being a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with IITAP (International Institute for Trauma and Addictions Professionals). She uses Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment and Schema Therapy for trauma symptoms. She is trained in couples therapy including Gottman Method (Level I and II), and ERCEM (Early Recovery Couples Empathy Model) couples therapy. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as a basis for therapy.

Andrea is unique as she comes with broad experience from a multi-disciplinary healthcare background as a registered nurse and educator, integrating medical healthcare knowledge with mental health care.
